Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is to launch its green hotel brand, Element, in Vancouver, Canada, in 2014.

The hotel will be owned by Bosa Properties and managed by Atlific Hotels.

The property will feature 169 guestrooms and suites, an outdoor fire pit, a barbecue, water features, a 2,601m² fitness centre and a 510m² meeting and business space.

As part of the green initiative, the hotel will feature electric vehicle charging stations.

Starwood operates nine Element hotels across North America.
