InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new property, the Holiday Inn San Jose Escazu, in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The newbuild hotel has six storeys, 160 rooms, eight meeting rooms totalling 800m², a pool deck, a fitness centre, and a bar and restaurant.

The hotel is IHG’s 39th Holiday Inn property in Latin America and its second Holiday Inn hotel in San Jose.

The hotel is owned and managed by Latin American Hospitality Management, which is San Salvador-based Grupo AGRISAL’s Hotel Division, under an agreement with IHG.

The opening of the new hotel marks the completion of the $1bn Holiday Inn global brand relaunch.

IHG operates six properties in the Costa Rican city across five brands: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Indigo.
