Travelodge, the UK-based budget hotel brand, has announced a plan to open 36 hotels linked to pubs as part of its £100m ($167m) expansion plan.
The company, which operates more than 450 hotels in the UK, already has 15 sites with pub companies such as Marston’s and Mitchells & Butlers.
It plans to partner with JD Wetherspoon, Greene King and JW Lees.
The company has sealed two new developments with pub companies in the last six months, including the 53-room Kidderminster Travelodge hotel funded by Marston’s and the 62-bed Travelodge in Glossop adjacent to a JD Wetherspoon pub.
