A&B Properties and RD Olson Development have broken ground on a new Courtyard hotel in Kahului on the island of Maui, Hawaii, US.
The new 138-room hotel is being constructed on a 3.35 acre site at a cost of $16.5m.
After the four-storey hotel is completed in early 2012, the property will be managed by Marriott.
The 138 rooms will be divided into 49 studio kings, 79 studio double queens, six suites, and four extended-stay suites. The hotel will offer a business centre, a pool and fitness centre, a lounge and bar, a gazebo, guest laundry, a surfboard storage facility and a 154m² boardroom.
