Marriott International has signed an agreement with Jabal Omar Development Company to operate three hotels in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The three properties include the 636-room JW Marriott Hotel Makkah, the 540-room Makkah Marriott Hotel and the 432-room Courtyard by Marriott Makkah.
All the hotels are scheduled to open in two phases beginning in 2014 and will form part of a multi-use development
The JW Marriott Hotel Makkah will feature duplex suites, more than 200 junior suites and over 400 standard king and double rooms, with five restaurants, lounges and a business centre.
The Makkah Marriott Hotel will offer a lobby lounge and 322m² of conference space including four individual meeting rooms, a business centre, casual and speciality restaurants, and retail space.
Around 50% of The Courtyard by Marriott Makkah’s guestrooms will interconnect to accommodate large families. The hotel will also feature a restaurant and a business centre.
Marriott International operates three hotels in Saudi Arabia and has five properties under development that are scheduled to open through 2014.
