Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened its first Westin hotel in South America, the Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center in Peru.
Starwood opened the property under a franchise agreement with Grupo Libertador.
The property is located in the heart of San Isidro, Lima’s financial and shopping hub, and features 301 rooms and the largest meeting and convention facilities in Peru, according to Starwood.
The hotel features more than 2,602m² of meeting space, including ten meeting rooms and a ballroom, as well as two restaurants, a bar, a gym, an indoor pool and a spa.
The opening of the hotel is followed by the Westin brand’s recent debut in Costa Rica, its upcoming launch in Panama and expansion in Mexico.
Starwood now has nine Westin Hotels in Latin America, including six in Mexico, one in Guatemala and one in Costa Rica.
