Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is to open the Sheraton Omaha in Nebraska, US, in October 2011.
The opening is part of Sheraton’s expansion plan to add more than 60 new hotels and over 20,000 rooms to its portfolio over the next two years.
The hotel will open following a $4m renovation of the former Crowne Plaza hotel, which is owned by an investment fund managed by Latitude Management Real Estate Investors.
The renovation will feature the ‘Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft‘, a hub for social or business interaction, in the centre of the lobby, as well as upgrades to the 223 guestrooms.
Sheraton Omaha Hotel will offer more than 836m² of flexible meeting space, three restaurants, a large indoor pool and a fully equipped fitness facility.
