Marriott Hotels & Resorts will open its 1,003-room Austin Marriott Marquis hotel in Austin, Texas, US, in 2015.
The hotel, which is scheduled to break ground in mid-2012, will offer 110,000ft² of flexible meeting space, multiple food and beverage venues, 374 underground parking spaces and a 4,500ft² fitness centre.
Paul Cahill, senior vice-president, brand management for Marriott Hotels & Resorts, said the new Marquis will help bring new business to the city of Austin.
Austin Marriott Marquis is owned and operated by White Lodging Services and will join five other Marriott Marquis hotels in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, San Diego and Washington, DC, the last of which is due to open in 2013.
