India-based Greenpark Hotels & Resorts is to open properties in Hyderabad and Kakinada in India.
The 187-room Marigold in Hyderabad, which will feature a 20,000ft² convention centre, is expected to open shortly and the hotel in Kakinada will open in early 2012.
Greenpark will raise its inventory to 616 rooms by September-October 2011 and to 736 rooms by 2012.
Greenpark vice-president Mohan Krishna said the company is also in the process of finalising plans to set up two more properties in Mumbai and Pune, and will expand throughout South India, according to thehindubusinessline.com.
Greenpark invested Rs700m ($15m) in the Marigold project and Rs400m in the Kakinada project.
