Global hospitality and travel company Carlson will open its 100th Park Plaza hotel in India by 2015.
The new hotel will push Carlson’s capacity to almost 10,000 rooms.
The company launched its 40th Park Plaza property last week, which expanded its total number of rooms in the country to 4,027.
Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific executive vice-president Kachru said the company plans to add 6,000 rooms in the next four years through franchisees, according to PTI.
“The hospitality sector has huge potential in India, particularly in two-tier cities and Carlson will focus on the mid-market segment,” Kachru said.
