Wyndham Hotel Group has announced that it will enter the UK market with the conversion of The Conrad Hotel in London–Chelsea Harbour. The US group will operate the 160-room hotel under a 20-year agreement with the owner, Blue Harbour 2.
“London is Europe’s economic hub and one of the largest feeder markets in the world,” said Steven Rudnitsky, Wyndham Hotel Group president and chief executive officer. Rudnitsky said the arrival of Wyndham in London is part of its strategy to pursue flagship Wyndham hotel properties in key international cities.
Wyndham Hotel Group is part of Wyndham Worldwide which operates 6,500 hotels across the globe.
