The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa hotel, part of the Disneyland Resort in California, is to expand with 200 new rooms and the first Disney timeshare development.
Hotel expansion plans include a rooftop deck, a new swimming pool and about 300 underground parking spaces.
Fifty new timeshare properties, called Disney Vacation Club villas, will also form part of the complex, according to US reports.
The expansion, scheduled for completion in late 2009, will be developed on a 2.5-acre site.
The Disney resort, situated on approximately 500 acres, includes three hotels with a total of 2,224 rooms and the 310,000m2 retail, restaurant and entertainment Downtown Disney District.
