Marriott International has officially designated the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing the company’s 3,000th property.

The 588-room hotel, scheduled to open in November, is owned by Hua Mao Surapan Hotel Development Company.

Marriott has added more than 100 hotels to its worldwide portfolio in the first half of 2007, and expects to operate 11 more in Beijing before next year’s Olympic Games.

Another 20 hotels are scheduled to open in China before 2010.
