The AmericInn hotel chain says its SoundGuard construction technique is an industry first, providing travellers with significantly quieter hotel rooms.

The chain says each AmericInn hotel is built to strict standards with solid masonry block, thick drywall and sound-deadening foam between every room.

AmericInn says the resulting rooms have been scientifically proven to be significantly quieter than others in the industry.

AmericInn Lodging senior vice president of franchise development Jon Kennedy says the chain is seeking to carve out a niche in a competitive industry by setting itself apart from its competitors.

“We have always held ourselves to a high standard of quality construction,” Kennedy says.

“Now we want to go one step further to set ourselves apart as the quiet hotel chain.”
