A Scottish hotels group is hoping to gain planning permission for an £80m hotel and spa village in the grounds of a Forth Valley estate.

Aurora, which also own Airth Castle and Glenbervie House Hotel, is looking to begin work on the Larbert estate development in the early new year.

Facilities will include a 200-room, five-star hotel, “seasonal ownership” properties, a spa, conference facilities and an unspecified number of detached homes and apartments.
