Hilton is planning to build the UK’s second Hilton Garden Inn in Aberdeen, Scotland, the company has announced.

The £18m development at Aberdeen Airport is in the final planning permission stage with the city council.

Aimed specifically at the business market, the 175-room hotel will be owned by Naava Ltd and managed by Hilton.

The UK’s first Hilton Garden Inn is expected to open in Luton next year, to be followed by the Aberdeen property in 2009.
