Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide has announced a management agreement for three new hotels in India.

The Westin Hotel brand will open properties in three of the fastest growing markets in India; a 428-room hotel in Hyderabad, 277 rooms in Pune and 323 rooms in Kolkata.

President for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Asia-Pacific, Miguel Ko says the opening accelerates the company’s growth in the region.

“Westin’s new hotels in Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata further accelerate our plans to become one of the most recognisable brands in India, both in gateway cities and emerging commercial centres.”

The properties in Hyderabad and Pune are scheduled to open in 2009 with the Kolkata hotel opening in 2010.
