InterContinental says its latest Vietnamese hotel will occupy the upper floors of the Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower – one of the tallest buildings in the world.

The 383-room InterContinental Hanoi Landmark will become one of the world’s tallest hotels when it opens in the upper floors of the 70-storey building.

It will join the ranks of InterContinental Doha West Bay in Qatar, a 60-storey hotel opening in 2009, and InterContinental Nanjing in China, part of a 431m tower opening in 2010.

The hotel, which will also include 300 serviced apartments, is expected to open in early 2011.

In Vietnam, InterContinental has two other properties under development – InterContinental Asiana Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City and InterContinental Danang Resort.

Both are scheduled to open in 2009.
