Hotel occupancy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, increased by 12% in April compared with the same period in 2009.
The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADAT) said that 167,635 guests stayed in Abu Dhabi’s hotels in April.
The January-April figures show that 622,731 guests stayed in the city, a 16% increase on 2009 and a 10% increase on 2008.
Domestic tourism was a major factor in the growth in occupancy level, according to menafn.com.
ADTA said the city plans to accommodate 1.65 million guests this year.
