Malaysian conglomerate Hong Leong Group has introduced its first five-star hotel in China, Guoman Hotel Shanghai.
The $80m hotel, housed in a 26-storey building, has 442 bedrooms including 127 suites and 315 deluxe rooms.
Other facilities include a leisure centre, a 500-capacity ballroom, a restaurant and bar, all-day dining, and a lobby on the first two floors.
Hong Leong also revealed its plans to build ten Guoman Hotels in China and expects an occupancy rate of more than 70% in the first six months of operation.
The group is to launch another property, Guoman Hotel Beijing, next year, according to bernama.com.
