US-based Arch Millennium Corporation will open its five-star Planet Hollywood Hotel in Mumbai, India, in 2012.

The property will be the company’s second hotel and will be located on the site of the former Shelley’s Hotel.

Arch Millennium has submitted plans to the Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee for the demolition of Shelley’s Hotel, according to hindustantimes.com.

The company has acquired the master franchise rights for the Planet Hollywood brand across India.

Planet Hollywood is a privately held US company.
