Hotel prices across Europe have fallen for the first time since the beginning of the year, marking the stabilisation of prices across the continent, according to a price comparison website.

According to UK website Trivago’s monthly Hotel Price Index (tHPI), rates fell by 6% for June to $142, compared with last month’s average of $151.

Price reductions were seen across European cities of London, Barcelona, Seville, Paris and Rome compared with last month.

The majority of UK and German cities are registered as stable or with falling prices, according to the report.
