InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a deal with Colombia’s Espacios Urbanos to manage a new property in Cartagena, Colombia.

The 280-room property includes 16,000ft² of meeting space, a spa, fitness centre, and various restaurants and bars.

The hotel will be the 23rd InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The hotel is scheduled to open in 2013.

InterContinental Hotels Group owns 4,400 hotels under Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts and Holiday Inn Express brands.
