Venezuela’s hotel occupancy rate dropped by 6% to 55% during the first quarter of 2010.

The National Association of Venezuelan Hotels also reported a significant reduction in hotel activity compared with levels of almost 62% reported last year.

The occupancy rate in some cities, including Caracas, stood at 51% during the first quarter.
