Shanghai, China, will open its first capsule hotel this year.
The hotel, dubbed ‘C Baby’, will open near the north square of Shanghai Railway Station in Zhabei District.
The hotel will charge guests about CNY100 ($14.7) a night in rooms measuring one metre high, one metre wide and two metres deep.
Month-long rentals will also be available for CNY1,000 ($147), according to the Oriental Morning Post.
The hotel, which will have curtains instead of doors, was built by Xia Quangen, who drew inspiration from Japan’s capsule hotels.
