A new five-star luxury hotel is planned for Paizhen, Tibet, near the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon.

The $14.7m hotel will feature 150 rooms in the first phase of development, which will incorporate sustainable strategies.

The project was approved by authorities and will be built by a Chinese tourism company.

The hotel’s design was completed while land requisition work is underway, according to indiatimes.com.
