Best Western International plans to add 235 new properties in the Middle East and Asia by the end of 2011.

Best Western has 40 hotels planned for the region and intends to develop further hotels in Africa, South America and New Zealand.

The chain has more than 160 properties under development in India, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, Bangladesh, South-east Asia and the Middle East.

The company provides marketing, reservations and operational support to over 4,000 independently owned and operated member hotels worldwide.
