Global hospitality and travel company Carlson has unveiled plans to operate more than 100 hotels in India by 2015.
The company will open eight hotels in 2010 and plans to add at least 15 more in 2011.
The hotels include the 178-room Radisson Hotel New Delhi Paschim Vihar, the 120-room Radisson Hotel Rudrapur, the 73-room Country Inn & Suites Gurgaon Sector 12, the 94-room Park Plaza Ahmedabad and the 80-room Park Plaza Faridabad.
Carlson also signed two new hotel agreements in west and south India for the 275-room Radisson Blu Hotel Mumbai Malad and the 110-room Park Plaza Coimbatore.
Construction of the $52m Mumbai property, which is owned by American Spring and Pressing Works Private, will begin soon and be complete in 2014.
It will feature contemporary rooms, a restaurant, two speciality food outlets, a tea lounge and a 3,048m² banquet and meeting facility.
