The new five-star Sofitel Alkhobar Hotel in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province has opened.

The 31,000m² hotel comprises 229 rooms, three restaurants and lounges, a covered pool, a relaxation centre, eight halls and a 500-seat ballroom.

AFM Consultants provided design engineering and project management services for the development, according to arabnews.com.

The Sofitel Group operates more than 150 hotels worldwide and the chain is expanding in the Middle East and Asia.
