Hotel occupancy in the US city of New York is expected to remain flat in 2011, according to a report by online travel site Expedia.
The low occupancy was attributed to growth in the supply of new hotel properties.
However, corporate guests are forecast to rise by 2% in the coming year.
Data for the study was compiled via bookings from the company’s websites around the world.
Demand from Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Nordic nations is likely to improve two-fold next year, according to comparecarhire.co.uk.
