AC Hotels by Marriott, a brand of Marriott International with a chain of over 80 hotels across Europe, has expanded its presence in Europe with the opening of two new hotels – the AC Hotel Nice in France and the AC Hotel Sant Cugat in Barcelona, Spain.

The AC Hotel Nice was opened on 1 April 2013 after a major renovation programme.

Located near The Acropolis Congress Centre, the 4-star hotel features 143 guestrooms equipped with flat-screen TV, air conditioners, a minibar and payable wireless internet access service.

AC Hotel Nice also features a panoramic terrace with heated swimming pool and lounge chairs, Zen garden, restaurants offering French and American cuisine, three conference and banqueting rooms, and free Wi-Fi access in the hotel lobby.

"Nice and Sant Cugat del Valles are popular destinations for both business and leisure travellers and fit perfectly with the brand’s associated modern comfort and urban style."

The AC Hotel Nice joins the AC Hotel Ambassaduer Antibes-Juan Les Pins, the first property of AC Hotels by Marriott in France, which opened in summer 2012.

The brand is also planning to open another French property, AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot, in early 2014.

The AC Hotel Sant Cugat in Catalonia, Spain, is situated in the business area of Sant Joan with the Benedictine monastery and the medieval castle Castell de Canals in the vicinity.

The hotel features 152 guestrooms, several function rooms for meetings and events, and AC Lounge with free Wi-Fi.

Marriott International Europe president and managing director Amy McPherson said the company is excited about expanding the presence of the AC Hotels by Marriott brand in France and across Europe.

"Nice and Sant Cugat del Valles are popular destinations for both business and leisure travellers and fit perfectly with the brand’s associated modern comfort and urban style," McPherson added.
