Appy Hotel, a Hong-Kong and Bangkok-based business that offers web-based technology to the hospitality sector, has introduced a new cost-free mobile marketing app in the UK.

Compatible with both Apple and Android operating systems, the Appy Hotel platform allows hotel owners to provide complete information about their hotels.

By using the Appy Hotel platform, global hotel chains, boutique brands and independently owned properties can increase their brand awareness, customer relationships, improve guest experience and generate more revenue.

"This is the direction that hoteliers must take if they’re to generate excitement about their properties and market their services effectively."

Guests can download the app to their smartphones or tablets to learn about the hotel services, book in-house services, make future reservations and also provide feedback to management.

In addition to the app, Appy Hotel is also offering hoteliers a chance to create a mobile website from the same backend as the app.

The mobile website can be used by hoteliers for posting updates such as menu changes, promotions or new amenities, which also gets automatically reflected on the app.

Appy Hotel founder and CEO JP Dumas said that due to the meteoric rise in smartphone and tablet use, consumers are demanding information in real-time, often whilst on the move.

"This is the direction that hoteliers must take if they’re to generate excitement about their properties and market their services effectively. The ultimate goal of any hotelier is to boost occupancy rates, but it’s now also possible to gain huge revenue opportunities by allowing guests to book additional services via the app platform," Dumas added.

"We know that cost is the main reason deterring hoteliers from investing in the latest technology, but they no longer have to pay a huge amount of money to employ an app developer when they can do it themselves, for free and with the same level of high quality."

Though the app is available for free, Appy Hotel provides hoteliers with a white label version of the app for £199 per month and a £99 option that supports powerful optimisation and guest satisfaction features.
