Global hospitality firm Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group plans to expand its portfolio in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the opening of two new upper upscale Radisson Blu properties.
The hospitality group intends to open its first Radisson Blu Resort Al Khobar Aziziya during the fourth quarter of 2015 and the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Unaizah in second quarter of 2016.
Radisson Blu Resort Al Khobar Aziziya will be located on the Al Khobar coast of Half Moon Bay in the Al Aziziya district in the southern region of the city.
The resort will have 186 rooms featuring Radisson Blu signature services like free high speed internet access, a 330m² all-day dining restaurant, a 200m² lobby cafe, over 270m² of meeting and event spaces as well as 350m² of wellness facilities like gym, sauna and outdoor pool.
The group has already started construction of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Unaizah, which will be located in the Al Fahd district of Unaizah’s downtown area, and will be part of a two million square meters master development spearheaded by Al Fahd Group.
The new hotel is said to be constructed in close proximity to commercial developments and the city’s largest planned shopping mall.
Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence will have 180 units including 90 hotel rooms, 10 suites, 80 serviced apartments, and about 10 villas.
The property will offer facilities like 1,800m² meeting/banquet space including a ballroom, an all-day dining restaurant with international buffet, a pool café, a specialty restaurant, gym and spa.
