UAE hospitality group Cristal Hotels and Resorts has signed agreements to manage three hotels in Saudi Arabia, in order to expand into key markets across the Middle East.

In co-operation with a local partner, the group also established Cristal KSA, a company subsidiary to serve the growing Saudi Arabian market.

Cristal KSA will manage the Cristal Amaken Hotel, expected to open in 2014 in Riyadh, the Cristal Himmah Hotel, set to open in 2015 in Dammam, and the Cristal Siyaha Hotel, which is scheduled to open in early 2013, in Riyadh.

According to Cristal Hotels, all three hotels will offer more than 600 hotel rooms collectively in KSA’s hospitality market, featuring a complete range of business and hospitality amenities, which include food and beverage outlets, meeting rooms and health clubs.

Cristal Hotels and Resorts president and CEO, Peter Blackburn, said the new management agreements for the three hotels are expected to improve the group’s expansion initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

"The successful launch of Cristal Amaken Hotel, Cristal Himmah Hotel and Cristal Siyaha Hotel will also further boost our ongoing expansion programme across key markets in the Middle East," said Blackburn.

The 270-room Cristal Amaken Hotel is owned by Amaken for Tourism, while the 190-room Cristal Himmah Hotel is owned by Dar Al Himmah. The Siyaha for Tourism-owned Cristal Siyaha Hotel will have 150 rooms.

The group already manages the Cristal Hotel in Abu Dhabi as well as the Cristal Salam Hotel, which opened in November 2011 and is also located in Abu Dhabi.

The group also manages the Cristal Grand Kadri Hotel in Lebanon and the Cristal Itsandra Beach Hotel in Comoros, which are both currently undergoing renovations. Both are expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
