Canada-based Delta Hotels and Resorts is set to launch a new hotel in Prince George, British Columbia.
The 170-room Delta Prince George is scheduled to open in 2015 and will be the first four-star upscale, full-service hotel in the city.
Situated in the heart of downtown Prince George’s civic and cultural centre, and close to the central business district, the new hotel will be managed by Delta Hotels and Resorts, and is owned and being developed by River City Hotel Management, a local real estate development company.
Delta Prince George is designed as a contemporary hotel with high-tech design elements to reflect the needs and expectations of business and leisure travellers to the region.
The new property will provide amenities including ModeRoom guest rooms, nine extended stay suites and a hospitality suite, all of which feature modern design and a range of technology features.
Delta Hotels and Resorts president and CEO Ken Greene said, "The Delta Prince George will represent the new Delta and we are thrilled to bring this upscale hotel experience to the heart of British Columbia’s northern capital."
Additional amenities provided by the hotel include a restaurant and lounge, fitness centre with spa and indoor pool, a business centre and approximately 6,600ft² of meeting and conference space, including a 4,000ft² ballroom.
River City Hotel Management spokesperson Clint Dahl said the company chose Delta because of the modern and innovative design concepts that are being introduced across the chain.
"We believe these developments combined with this Canadian brand’s exceptional reputation in service excellence across the country will deliver an upscale experience for guests travelling to the region," Dahl added.
