DoubleTree by Hilton has opened the newly renovated DoubleTree by Hilton Des Moines Airport in Iowa, US.
The 100-room hotel, previously a Radisson property, is owned and operated by design, construction and management company Heart of America Group under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.
DoubleTree by Hilton global head Rob Palleschi said the DoubleTree by Hilton Des Moines Airport heralds the brand’s entry into Iowa.
"Des Moines is a major business hub for the region as well as a robust market that provides a variety of leisure activities for all ages," Palleschi said.
The hotel was renovated by Heart of America Group in all areas, including its guest rooms, which now feature new carpeting, window treatments, furniture and bedding.
The rooms provide a single king size or two queen beds; granite bathrooms; mini-fridge; spacious work desks; LCD TVs; MP3-compatible alarm clocks; Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree Sleep Experience; Wolfgang Puck in-room gourmet coffee and tea service; and CITRON by Crabtree & Evelyn bath and body products.
The refurbished hotel features new function space which includes a 648ft² meeting room, in addition to a business centre and a new lobby lounge, a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool.
DoubleTree by Hilton Des Moines Airport, which is located beside the Des Moines International Airport and is close to downtown Des Moines, features an on-site restaurant and bar – Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse and the Blue Bar.
