DoubleTree by Hilton has opened a newly renovated hotel in New Bern, North Carolina, which was damaged by Hurricane Irene in August 2011.

The 171-room Doubletree by Hilton New Bern Riverfront, formerly a Hilton Hotel , features redesigned guestrooms, suites, a fitness room, dining outlets, landscaping and public spaces.

According to DoubleTree by Hilton, hotel guests will benefit from the qualities found at the brand’s more than 295 DoubleTree by Hilton locations in 23 countries.

In-room amenities of the Doubletree by Hilton New Bern Riverfront include complimentary wireless, internet access, work desks, 37in high-definition LCD TVs and MP3-compatible alarm clocks.

The hotel offers 14,000ft² of conference space for business meetings, banquets and social events, including the 4,160ft² ballroom with the capacity to accommodate up to 350 guests, and the Christoph’s on the Water restaurant.

Other facilities are a newly designed business centre, a fitness centre, and a printing service that includes print-from-your room convenience.
