Hilton Worldwide is all set to debut in Australia with the rebranding of four Northern Territory hotels into DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Hotels & Resorts brands on 1 May 2013.
Among the four Northern Territory hotels, three hotels will open as DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, and DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs, whereas the fourth hotel will open as Hilton Darwin.
Hilton Darwin marks the group’s first Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand hotel in Darwin.
Located next to the Darwin Harbour area, the hotel features 235 rooms, outdoor swimming pool, 24hr fitness centre, six meeting rooms with a grand ballroom for events and conferences, and a lounge offering cocktails.
The three new hotels from DoubleTree by Hilton will offer guests basic amenities such as CITRON body care products by Crabtree & Evelyn, 24hr business and fitness centres, outdoor swimming pools, a range of dining options, complimentary high-speed internet access in public areas and Create a Rewarding Experience (CARE) services for guests, team members and the community.
DoubleTree by Hilton global head John Greenleaf said Australia is the 30th country and sixth continent where the brand is expanding its business.
"We are thrilled to open not one, but three hotels in Australia’s extraordinary Northern Territory and look forward to introducing Australian travellers to the superior level of caring service synonymous with DoubleTree by Hilton – epitomised by our warm chocolate chip cookie welcome for every guest at check-in," Greenleaf added.
Northern Territory tourism and major events minister Matt Conlan said, "The Hilton Darwin and three DoubleTree by Hilton hotels will enhance the range of accommodation choices available to visitors in locations that are ideal for holiday and business travellers alike."
The Hilton Hotels & Resorts currently has a portfolio of over 550 hotels in 80 countries.
Hilton Worldwide further plans to open more than 50 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels worldwide in 2013.
