Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has expanded its presence in China with the opening of its fourth luxury hotel, the Fairmont Nanjing.
Situated in the Jianye district of Hexi New Town, the hotel is close to Nanjing Lukou International Airport and Nanjing South Railway Station and is few steps away from the Nanjing International Expo Centre and Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre.
The new property is located on the upper floors of the 62-storey Jin Ao Tower and has 359 rooms, including guestrooms and suites looking over the city and the Yangtze River.
Fairmont Nanjing general manager Martin Leclerc said: "The city of Nanjing is one of the fastest growing travel destinations in China and the group is delighted to open Fairmont Nanjing at such an opportune time.

The guestrooms are equipped with amenities like Fairmont’s signature bedding, a 46-inch flat panel television, high-speed internet access and contemporary bathroom featuring a rain shower stall and New York perfumer Le Labo bathroom amenities containing the exclusive Rose 31 scent.
The new hotel also includes Fairmont Gold rooms and suites that represent the brand’s hotel-within-a-hotel concept. It offers personalised services including private check-in, and a lounge offering complimentary breakfast and evening cocktail canapés.
With seven restaurants and bars like Altitude, an all-day dining restaurant located at Level 60 providing a 360 degree panoramic view of the city; Vancouver Grill; Richesse Chinoise that specialises in authentic Huaiyang, Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines, the hotel claims to offer an excellent dining experience.
The new hotel also has Cloud 62, the first and only rooftop-bar in Nanjing with tented cabanas, a jacuzzi, music bar and a man-made beach and Music@61 housing three distinct lounges including a cocktail, whisky and wine lounge and outlets like Streetz Café, a bistro and the Lobby Lounge.
The hotel has a 1,120m² Willow Stream Spa with seven private treatment rooms and suites offering Asian and Western treatments, as well as an indoor mineral pool, saunas and steam rooms.
Fairmont Nanjing has 2,500m² function space including a 1,000m² ballroom having accommodation capacity of about 1,200 people, and seven function rooms.
