Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced that Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv in Kiev, Ukraine, the luxury brand’s first hotel in Eastern Europe, will open on 27 March 2012.

The new five-star hotel, with 258 rooms, including 54 suites as well as Royal and Presidential suites, is located in Kiev’s Podil district.

The Grand Hotel Kyiv features a 24hr business centre and Fairmont Gold, the brand’s hotel within a hotel concept that offers a private reception desk and a comfortable guest lounge.

In the Grand Cru Champagne Bar guests can sample a selection of champagnes, while the Vintage Cocktail Bar offers classic cocktails, cigars and shisha.

The 12-storey hotel’s dining options include an all-day restaurant called The Strand Grill and the art nouveau-influenced Atrium Lounge and Pâtisserie.

The hotel offers 1,210m² of meeting and function space, including a 480m² ballroom and eight private dining rooms.

The unit’s recreational facilities include a 641m² Fairmont Spa offering six treatment rooms, separate women’s and men’s areas and a beauty salon.

The hotel also offers a fully equipped fitness centre, group exercise classes and access to an indoor/outdoor tennis club and the nearby Royal Kyiv Golf Club.

The project was overseen by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Kiev-based Yaroslaviv Val LLC.
