
Hilton Hotels & Resorts is to add a second property in Tampa, Florida, with the rebranding of Hyatt Regency Tampa as Hotel Tampa, an affiliate of Hilton.
Prior to being renamed the Hilton Tampa Downtown, the property will undergo renovations to its guest rooms, lobby, common areas, dining and restaurant amenities, ballroom and meeting spaces, fitness centre and administrative offices.
The hotel features 521 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, fitness centre, Avanzare Lobby Bar and Restaurant and Starbucks Coffee onsite.
It also features 30,000ft² of flexible meeting space and a modern business centre.
The hotel joins Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore, Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park, Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and Hilton Clearwater Beach as the fifth Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in the region.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts global head Dave Horton said: "This hotel is an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers due to its location near museums, business facilities, entertainment and dining."
The property is located near popular attractions such as the Florida Aquarium and Busch Gardens.
