
Hilton Worldwide has commenced operations at the new Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center, which is said to be Istanbul’s largest hotel to date.
The new hotel, which has 829 guest rooms and suites, as well as 12,000m² of event space, has 34 floors and is designed by GA Design of London.
Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is located beside a new shopping and entertainment destination being created at the Bomonti Beer Factory site.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts global head Rob Palleschi said the group is excited to be expanding its footprint in Istanbul.
"Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is amongst our foremost MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) destination hotels across the world and we are delighted to showcase our stylish design and superb Hilton service in Turkey on such a grand scale," Palleschi added.
The new property, which has the largest pillar-free ballroom in the city with accommodation for over 6,350 guests, features new meetings technology including digital check-in screens and iRoom applications as well as outdoor terraces suitable for weddings and social occasions.
Hilton Worldwide EMEA president Simon Vincent said the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is a superb addition to the city’s evolving skyline.
"With its significant scale, the hotel supports Istanbul as a rapidly emerging international conference and events venue to rival locations such as London, Dubai and Prague," Vincent added.
The hotel features Turkey’s first eforea: spa at Hilton, with over 3,300m² of wellbeing space with 14 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a 500m² gym with studio.
Cloud 34, a social hub serving a range of small plates, international drinks and cocktails throughout the day and evening, is also available on the new hotel’s 34th floor.
The hotel features an all-day dining concept, The Globe, serving local and international cuisines with four live cooking stations creating Turkish, Western Grill, Sushi and Thai cuisine.
Additionally, the hotel’s Grand Lobby serves Turkish coffee, hot and cold drinks and lighter bites, while the Executive Lounge offers views across the city.
Currently, Hilton Worldwide operates 24 hotels in Turkey under its Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton brands.
