Hilton Worldwide is to partner the Al Habtoor Group to convert two hotels in Beirut to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
The 195-room Habtoor Grand will be converted into the Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and the 183-room Metropolitan Palace will become the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace; both properties will open in early 2012.
The Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand will offer a business centre, four meeting rooms, a conference room with a capacity for 2,400 people, a health club, two swimming pools, three restaurants, two bars and a 3,500m² spa.
The Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace will feature a business centre, five meeting rooms, an 820-capacity function room, a health club, a swimming pool, four restaurants and two bars.
Hilton Worldwide has signed 18 new hotels across the Middle East and Africa this year, taking its total number of hotels in the development pipeline in the region to 40.
