Hilton Worldwide has announced the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga, the third DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in India.
The newly-renovated, 105-room DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga, formerly known as Riviera De Goa, is owned by Riviera De Goa Resorts and Hotels and managed by Hilton Worldwide.
Hilton Worldwide Asia Pacific president Martin Rinck said the launch of the new hotel is another milestone in the company’s Indian growth strategy.
"With the opening of this hotel, Hilton Worldwide now operates ten hotels in India. Following on from a great year of growth in 2011, when we opened six hotels, we are expanding rapidly in India and anticipate increasing our presence to 14 hotels by the end of this year," Rinck added.
With the launch of the hotel in India, DoubleTree by Hilton is set to reach its target of increasing the network to 25 hotels in the country by 2016.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga offers a fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool.
All guestrooms of the hotel are equipped with wired and wireless internet access, HD LCD satellite television, a bar, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room dining, laundry and concierge services.
The hotel’s 3,000ft² of conference and banqueting facilities have the capacity to accommodate up to 200 people and are suitable for business meetings, conferences, training, seminars, social gatherings and private receptions, said the hotel operator.
DoubleTree by Hilton, which has two hotels in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), at Gurgaon and Mayur Vihar, plans to open a new hotel in Bangalore in the last quarter of 2012.
Besides the DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga, Hilton Worldwide currently operates various other hotels in India, including properties in Mumbai, Chennai and Vadodara.
