Chicago-based hospitality group Hyatt Hotels along with Interarm-M has launched its first Hyatt Place brand hotel in Europe, in Yerevan, Armenia.

Hyatt Place Yerevan is situated in the centre of Yerevan, Armenia’s capital city and near to Government House, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Gallery, and Abovyan Street, the city’s main thoroughfare featuring many boutiques, cafes and gift shops.

Located near to Republic Square, Yerevan’s main centre, the new property is part of the Hyatt Place brand’s expansion plans outside the US.

"This all-new, beautiful hotel is designed to meet all the needs of modern multitasking business or leisure travellers."

Hyatt Hotels EAME/Southwest Asia executive vice president Peter Fulton said: "Having built a strong foundation for the brand with more than 180 Hyatt Place hotels in the United States, we are delighted to now bring Hyatt Place to Europe and establish the brand’s presence in new markets where our guests are increasingly travelling.

"We have designed every aspect of the Hyatt Place experience with today’s traveller in mind. As we continue to grow the brand strategically and thoughtfully in key markets, this hotel will allow us to provide more choice to new and existing guests."

The new hotel has 95 guestrooms featuring a 42-inch HDTV, the plush Hyatt Grand Bed, a Cozy Corner with sectional sofa-sleeper and Hyatt Plug Panel media centre for connecting a laptop or media device to the TV.

The property also offers free Wi-Fi, free public computers and internet access in the Gallery, free daily breakfast for guests, full-service restaurant and 24/7 Gallery Menu offering made-to-order appetizer, salads, sandwiches and desserts.

Hyatt Place Yerevan also has a Coffee to Cocktails Bar featuring specialty coffees, premium beers, wines and cocktails, a 24 hour StayFit Gym, two meeting rooms of 65m² each, open-air terrace and complimentary car parking.

The new Hyatt Place Yerevan will be operated by general manager Igor Jovovic, who will be directly responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

Jovovic said: "This all-new, beautiful hotel is designed to meet all the needs of modern multitasking business or leisure travellers, and we are looking forward to showing our guests the authentic hospitality and purposeful service for which the Hyatt Place brand is known."

In addition to its recently opened properties in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, India, and Hyatt Place Yerevan, now in Europe, the group also plans to open Hyatt Place Amsterdam Schiphol in early 2014.
