Chicago-based hospitality group Hyatt Hotels and Grupo Hermosillo have launched Hyatt Place San Jose del Cabo in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
The new Hyatt Place hotel is an upscale, select-service location. Positioned on Paseo Malecón, it is steps away from the beach on the Sea of Cortez, the 18-hole Club Campestre Golf Course, San Jose del Cabo Historic Center and Art District, and the signature arch at Lands End, Cabo San Lucas.
Hyatt Place San Jose del Cabo has 157 rooms including four suites offering mountain or ocean views, while featuring a 42in TV, the plush Hyatt Grand Bed, a Cozy Corner sectional sofa and sofa-sleeper, and Hyatt Plug Panel media centre for connecting a laptop or media device to the TV.
The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, free hot buffet breakfast, 24/7 gallery menu and market including an all-day-dining restaurant, freshly prepared entrees and appetisers, on-the-go salads, sandwiches, sweets and bottled beverages.
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean Operations senior vice president Myles McGourty said: "This opening of the first Hyatt Place in Mexico shows we are building a solid track record toward Hyatt’s brand expansion in the country and throughout the whole region."
"This is an exciting time in Mexico for Hyatt as we increase our brand presence and grow the strength of our brands in the Mexican market."
The new property also has a coffee to cocktails bar offering Starbucks specialty coffees, espresso, premium beer and wines, and over 1,500ft² hi-tech meeting and function space along with a 24-hour business centre equipped with free wireless printers and 24-hour StayFit Gym.
The hotel has appointed Rodolfo Romero as the general manager who is directly responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including overseeing the hotel’s approximately 50 associates.
Romero said: "San Jose del Cabo is a special place travelers flock to year-round, and Hyatt Place San Jose del Cabo offers them all the practical amenities they need for work or play in this idyllic destination."
