InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has rebranded The Hotel Hanford in Orange County, California, US, and opened it as the Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County.
The property, which will be operated by Brighton Management under a licence agreement with IHG, is owned by Westport Capital Partners and Urban Commo.
The Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa is located close to John Wayne Airport and Disneyland.
The hotel offers 224 guestrooms, including six suites, with high-speed internet access, in-room dining, and rainwater showers; the restaurant concept and menu are due to change in the coming months.
Designed by CRDS, the property features 9,000ft² of meeting space, including 20 different indoor and outdoor venue options.
IHG Americas brand management vice president Gina LaBarre said that several major employers in the area will benefit from the meetings-savvy products and services that a Crowne Plaza hotel can provide.
Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa general manager Charles Haber said, "Because we’re in such a vibrant and exciting location, our hotel serves as a hub for both business and leisure travellers, international and domestic."
"We are proud to offer all of our guests first-class service, thoughtful amenities, and ample meeting space taken to the next level with a comprehensive meetings programme," he added.
This latest hotel conversion comes after a similar rebranding of a Hilton property to Crowne Plaza Tulsa – Southern Hills, Oklahoma, in September this year.
The 11-storey, 286-room Oklahoma property was reopened with redesigned rooms and public spaces; it is owned by McSam Hotels and operated by Packard Management Group.
