InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is to make its entry into Rayong, Thailand, with the construction of the Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong City Centre hotel.

To build the new hotel, the company has signed a deal with Felicity Asset.

The new property, which will be located adjacent to the Laemtong Shopping Mall in the heart of Rayong’s city centre, will feature 300 rooms, including 240 guest rooms and 60 suites.

Other facilities at the hotel will include an all day-dining restaurant, rooftop restaurant and bar, meeting facilities, swimming pool, pool bar and fitness centre.

"The Holiday Inn brand, known for its comfort, convenience and value was definitely the right choice for this rapidly expanding city."

Felicity Asset managing director Pattamaporn Nokhong said that Rayong’s close proximity to some of Thailand’s major industrial parks attracts a large number of business travellers.

"The hotel, situated in the middle of the city centre, is a perfect location for those staying overnight or longer," Nokhong added.

"The Holiday Inn brand, known for its comfort, convenience and value was definitely the right choice for this rapidly expanding city."

IHG South East Asia and Resorts COO Clarence Tan said, "Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong City Centre will be the first internationally branded hotel in Rayong’s City Centre giving guests piece of mind that they will have a consistent quality experience and the level of comfort which Holiday Inn is renowned for."

Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong City Centre joins 16 existing IHG hotels in Thailand, among which nine are Holiday Inn properties.
