JustBook, a provider of smartphone apps for booking hotels, has announced the launch of its services across UK cities in the next few weeks.
The free-to-download app, which is already available in London, allows users to book rooms from their smartphones at discounted prices, with room savings of up to 50%.
From its available network of hotels, JustBook publishes room deals each day between midday and 2am, listing rooms in three participating hotels per city. Guests can use a credit card to book their stay.
JustBook founder Stefan Menden said the app targets discerning travellers and business people who change their plans at the last minute, and have no time to search the internet.
"With the Olympics only weeks away, it will come in particularly handy as availability and prices are likely to be extremely unpredictable," Menden added.
The JustBook team individually selects the hotels and divides the rooms into four simple categories of luxury, upscale, design and comfort.
According to the company, it is the first ‘last minute’ room booking app to launch on three major smartphone platforms, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android, and currently has a database of hundreds of luxury hotels in 30 major European cities.
JustBook also said that app users can access deals through JustBook that cannot be found elsewhere on the internet. The app, which launched in Germany a few weeks back, has been downloaded over 80,000 times.
