New Hilton Milwaukee Monarch Room Lounge

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, has announced the completion of renovations of the lobby lounge in the Hilton Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US.

Marcus Hotels said it has restored the 729-room Hilton Milwaukee’s lobby lounge, which once accommodated an 82ft long bar to be reminiscent of the old-school lobby cocktail lounge.

The renovation also covers 3,800ft² including seating areas, workstations and a media centre.

As part of the renovations, a stone and metal fireplace was added to the south wall, while an interactive media work area anchors the north end with touch-screens, iPads, a magazine stand and printer.

Hilton Milwaukee vice president and general manager Steve Magnuson said the renovation and expansion of the lobby offers additional space to its guests to work and relax.

"We hope visitors enjoy the many upgrades we’ve added, and that they find the new lobby area a comfortable and inviting place to spend their time," Magnuson added.

The lounge features live jazz piano music in the evenings and offers a global wine list and bar-style menu featuring plates of Mediterranean and classic American selections, along with cocktails.

Design elements of the renovated lounge include wood architecture, leather furniture, new floor covering and fixtures.

The AAA Four Diamond Hilton Milwaukee City Center offers more than 34,000ft² of meeting and event space, including three ballrooms and 18 meeting rooms of various sizes.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts owns or manages 18 hotels, resorts and other properties in nine states, and its portfolio includes a wide variety of properties including city-centre meeting hotels, upscale resorts and branded first-class hotels.
